During the April school holiday, the International girls stayed in the boarding house embracing a chance to lay back and enjoy each other’s company.
The girls managed to make their own meals with teamwork. It’s surprising to find out that all of them are great chefs and I certainly enjoyed the Chinese feast they provided. Whilst it is relaxing having no structured schedules, the girls filled their days with town trips and school work. Year 10 performed several simple but logical science experiments, while some others worked on visual arts and other subjects. Some of the senior girls started the process of getting their driver’s license with great excitement.
We went to Sydney for a short shopping trip, travelling from one Westfield to another, trying different bubble tea shops and comparing characteristics of different suburbs. It was the first time the girls went on a long train trip. It was a good chance for them to learn how to work together, planning their days to meet individuals’ needs.
With Term 2 starting, our Segue course (online) students are also looking forward to continuing the learning with an aim of entering Australia to learn at the PLC Armidale campus in the future. Students, both on campus and online, are prepared to start fresh with their studies, with lessons and experiences learnt in Term 1 and the realisation on how much work they need to put in further in their learning.
