2022 Term 3 Week 7 Lion’s Roar

The past two weeks have been very busy for the International and Pathways students.

The Pathways students continue working on their English proficiencies as they start getting used to life at school. It has not been easy for them to manage the both but they have presented great flexibility as well as willingness to ask questions and participate. It is particularly important that the students learn to follow instructions and rules while living in a community. We noticed that they have started to understand the expectations and make an effort to follow.

Year 12 completed the trial exams and did so well managing the stress and pressure. They maintained their good spirits and worked hard  throughout the exam periods. Some Year 11 students started their work placement for Hospitality. It was great to see how they understand the expectations in a working environment and knowing that their own initiative and motivation play a big role in making work placements successful.

Last weekend, some Year 12 students joined the University of Sydney Residential Program and learned a lot about the university including the academic structure, application process and opportunities, accommodation options and more. It was a great experience for the girls as they plan towards their tertiary studies.

We look forward to seeing students thrive in the last several weeks of Term 3.
